Download Official iPad Mini OLED Wallpapers [4K UHD Original Pack]
Some stock wallpapers hide their message. This one spells it out, and you need to look at the wide version first. In the landscape file, a thick, glassy tube loops and doubles back to write “Mini” in one continuous script, with two round dots floating where the i’s should be. Once you’ve seen the word, the phone versions make sense. They show the same tube turned upright and cropped, so it reads as a stack of slanted, overlapping coils.
How the artwork is built
The tube looks like frosted glass lit from inside. Each edge has a bright rim, the middle is darker and more transparent, and where two loops cross you can see right through one to the other. Faint rainbow flares sit along some of those crossings, the kind of colour fringing you get from real glass. All of it floats on a flat, pure black background, which is why it works so well on OLED screens.
The colourways
Blue to violet is the lead design. The tube starts cyan at the top and ends in lavender and violet at the bottom. Deep navy blue uses the same colours on a dark navy background rather than pure black. Green moves from vivid lime to a pale mint at the bottom. Purple starts at electric blue and finishes in hot magenta. Sunset begins red at the top, passes through orange and ends in bright lemon yellow.
Each design is cropped three ways. The tall phone crop is for iPhone. A portrait tablet crop is for iPad. The landscape crop shows the full “Mini” lettering. I’d use the landscape version for a desktop or tablet in landscape.
Why it suits iPhone
The glow sits entirely in the tube, and the black around it switches off on an OLED panel, so the colour seems to hover above the screen. The tube also stays in the left and right thirds of the phone crop, which leaves a clear gap behind the clock. Of the five colours, the sunset and the blue-violet make the strongest lock screens. The green is the least common choice and looks fresh next to a dark home screen.
Setting one up
Save the image to Photos, then open Settings, Wallpaper, Add New Wallpaper. Pinch so the top loop sits just under the clock. If you use widgets, pick the navy blue version, because the dark blue gives them a softer background than pure black. For the best result, use the original file and not a screenshot, since the soft gradients are the first thing to show banding when an image is recompressed.
